Hello to all our families and students at Bearcamp Valley School and Children’s Center. I am so proud to join your school community as your new Director. I have had the pleasure to meet many of you so far. I hope you will stop in and say hello if we have not yet met. It is my privilege to serve you and your families. I look forward to working together with our Bearcamp Staff to continue to create quality early learning and out of school time programs for your children. I look forward to working with you to support the success of the program. I will be asking your assistance in the form of volunteerism, fundraising and getting the word out to the public about the good work we do. I would like to start a Family Association of parents and caregivers. Please contact me if you would be interested in this effort. I would love to have the first meeting in February. I will put out a family newsletter on occasion to keep you updated on important dates, happenings and opportunities for your family. Together with the Board of Directors and staff, Bearcamp Valley School and Children’s Center is finalizing a strategic plan to grow and develop the organization over the next 5 years. Your participation will be very important to help us meet our goals, which will include increased enrollment; whole-child curriculum that connects children to art and nature; an active Board of Directors with 15 members (7 current openings); facilities renovation; teacher training goals; fundraising; and marketing of the organization. You might have just the skills we need to help us reach some of our goals. Please join us as we work to honor the tradition that Nancy Coville established here at Bearcamp Valley School and Children’s Center and continue that tradition for new generations.
